We replace, service, and install sump pumps that keep groundwater out of the basement. If water is already on the floor, say that when you call so we can treat it as urgent.
A sump pump keeps groundwater out of the basement. When it fails in a spring rain, finished floors and mechanicals are at risk. Battery backups exist. We will talk about them when they actually fit the pit and the load.
DuPage tract homes from the 1970s onward almost all have a pit. Some also have an ejector for a bathroom below the sewer. Those are different pumps. We will ask which one failed.
We replace, service, and install sump pumps, and we do not waterproof foundations. Ejector work is on its own page.
