Who we are

Smooth Flow Plumbing is a licensed plumber based in Wood Dale, IL. We serve Chicagoland (Cook, DuPage, Kane, Lake, McHenry, and Will counties). This site is https://smoothflow.plumbing.

What this page covers

It covers this website, the estimate form, email and phone you send us, and the companies that host the site and deliver those messages. Links to Facebook, Nextdoor, HomeAdvisor, Thumbtack, or other sites are those companies' policies, not ours.

Information we collect

You may give us:

• From the estimate form: name, phone, optional email, property type (house, townhouse, or business), what you need (drain problem, larger plumbing system issues, or repair urgency), drain details when it is a drain job, and a short description of the work.
• On a town page, a hidden town name so we know which page you used.
• Anything you put in the message, including an address if you type one.
• The same kinds of details if you call or email instead of using the form.

The form includes a hidden field meant for spam bots. People should leave it blank. We do not use it as a contact field.

Our host, Netlify, also records technical details we cannot turn off: IP address, browser user agent, referring page, timestamps, and similar request logs for the site and for form posts.

We do not run analytics, advertising tags, or Google Analytics. We do not load fonts from Google. We do not ask for payment card numbers on this site.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Read and reply to estimate and service requests.
• Schedule, quote, and do the work you asked about.
• Keep ordinary job records for that work.
• Operate and secure the site, including spam and abuse checks.

We use your phone and email only for that request and the related job. We do not add you to a promotional list, send marketing texts or newsletters, or sell your information.

Who we share it with

Estimate submissions go to Netlify Forms, then to our inbox at smoothflowcity@gmail.com (Google's Gmail). Only Smooth Flow Plumbing staff read those requests. We do not hand your contact details to outside plumbers.

Netlify hosts the site and stores form submissions. Google delivers and stores email. Each company handles data under its own terms:

We may share information if the law requires it, or if we must protect the shop or someone else from harm. We do not sell personal information.

Cookies and Do Not Track

We do not set first-party analytics or advertising cookies, and we do not track you across other websites. A Do Not Track signal does not change what this site does, because there is no extra tracking to turn off.

Netlify may set cookies that are needed to host the site or accept the form. Those are for the service to work, not for ads.

How long we keep it

We keep what we need to handle your request and ordinary job records, then we delete it or stop using it when that purpose is done. Form entries stay in Netlify until we delete them there. Email stays in the inbox until we delete or archive it. We do not control how long Netlify keeps server logs.

Children

This site is for adults who need a plumber. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think a child sent us something, call or email and we will delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Call (630) 251-5184 or email smoothflowcity@gmail.com. We may need enough detail to find the request (for example, the phone number you used).

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we will post the update here and change the date at the top of this page.
