Ejector pumps
We replace, service, and install sewage ejector pumps that lift waste from a bathroom or laundry below the sewer. An ejector is not a sump. If sewage is on the floor, say that when you call.
An ejector pump moves sewage from fixtures that sit below the building sewer: a basement bath, a laundry tub, sometimes a kitchen added under the original floor. The pit is sealed. The discharge goes into the sanitary line, not into the yard. That is the difference from a sump pump, which handles groundwater.
When an ejector fails, toilets and floor drains on that low system back up. A humming motor, a pit that does not drop, or sewage at the lid is this pump, not the sump in the other corner of the basement. We replace, service, and install ejectors. We do not waterproof foundations, and we will not treat an ejector job as a sump swap.
If sewage is already on the floor, say that on the call to (630) 251-5184.
